Design of a contemporary style two storey townhouse on a long narrow allotment. Living zone on the upper level to maximise views of the Murray River. Natural light and ventilation were other important considerations.

A contemporary pavilion building that is located within the grounds of the main house. Designed to provide space for entertaining and relaxing while taking in the views of the surrounding garden and adjacent swimming pool.

Concept design for a multi million dollar single storey office building on the banks of the Murray River for a government department.  Requirement to meet 5 star Green Star environmental rating system.

The building site is situated literally on the bank of the Murray River surrounded by established river red gums.  The house is split level to minimise excavation of the site and uses mainly lightweight construction materials.  The brief was to deliver a house that maximised the river view, incorporates energy efficient principles and has a casual living aesthetic.

The client brief was to design a house that takes in the elevated views of the Murray River, is of contemporary styling and is highly energy efficient. The resulting design incorporates passive solar design principles, internal zoning, highly insulated walls and roof, double glazed uPVC windows and energy efficient services.

This house is positioned in a secluded bush setting with views of the nearby Murray River.  It is elevated above the flood plain with one side of the house designed around a large gum tree that is to be retained.  Expanses of glass links the house up with the environment and allows for high levels of natural light through the living spaces.  The exterior makes use of recycled timbers so the building blends with the native vegetation.

The client came to us with a concept design for a house, which we then refined and improved.  The house is positioned overlooking the flood plains of the Murray River with verandahs on two sides to provide protection from the early morning and late summer sun.  The long central living space has raked ceilings and gable windows for a sense of light and space.

This project involved designing a major extension to an existing community sporting club including new function/dining space, kitchen/bar and amenities.
