Project name: Loxton Hotel main bar refurbishment
Client: Loxton Community Hotel
Budget: $100,000 +
Duration: 2 months to complete design work
Description: The client brief was to redesign the main bar into a multi function space that allowed it to be reconfigured for live bands or hired for private functions. The space had not seen any major refurbishment work for over 20 years and as such required gutting. The new design included an acoustic ceiling and dropped bulkhead above the bar, along with new general lighting and subtle ambient feature lighting. We designed an entire new stained timber bar with metal tread plate front panels, a reflection of the rooms working class heritage. The design incorporated hard wearing stainless steel work surfaces and all the plumbing, refrigeration and electrical requirements. The specification of new floor tiling, commercial carpets, non slip vinyl bar floor and wall seating completed the design. New acoustic walls were positioned as a buffer to other areas of the hotel.

Client: CC Chiropractic
Budget: $200,000 +
Duration: 10 weeks to complete design work
Description: The client brief was to design a contemporary interior fit out that provided the functionality required of the business and a comfortable environment for clients. The result is an inviting waiting/reception area achieved through the use of quality materials and finishes, with an outlook to the feature stone wall and landscaping.
Detailed design drawings of the reception area joinery were undertaken to ensure staff requirements were included and the space was functional. Acoustics and privacy were an important consideration for the internal layout of rooms and design of the internal walls between consulting/treatment rooms. The installation of an x-ray facility dictated the need to incorporate radiation shielded walls, doors and glazing to that area. Electrical and air-conditioning systems were tailored to operational requirements.
